First Second Fourth

Banning her out of my head...yeah, right!

Banning Angela out of my head. Well, how much I liked it the memory was clearly there to stay and it drove me crazy! But what could I do. I didn't have a good excuse to call her so I kept on trying to forget about her.

Ilse DeLange during the concert Some time before this I had bought 2 tickets to see Ilse DeLange, a Dutch singer, in concert. This concert would be at the 18th of October 1998. I had tried all my friend and family, but no one could come with me. You see, it is alway easier to buy 2 tickets then buying one and then hearing that someone else wants to come along. Well, a week before the concert I still hadn't found anyone who wanted to come with me. There was just one person I hadn't called yet...

In the end I decided that I couldn't do much with 2 tickets so that I might as well give it a try, right? I called Angela and luckily she wanted to come with me. She would pick me up and we would then drive to where the concert was.

The day of the concert I didn't know what to do with myself, I was so nervous, I didn't know what to wear...everything went wrong and I was late. So when finally the bell rang and Angela was standing right in front of me I still had to shower. I positioned her in my room with something to drink and went to shower. After showering I went back to my room, I was wearing a jeansskirt and a top. And I swear she was looking up and down over my body, at least that was how it felt.

Ilse singing in Tivoli 1998 We went to eat out, in the same restaurant that Ilse ate with her band, and then we went to the concert. During the concert I just couldn't stand it anyrmore. I was hopelessly in love with this woman but how would I show her that I was?

Well, I used one of the oldest tricks in the book, I know, I know! It was a concert where you had to stand up so after a while I put my arm around her neck and told her that I couldn't stand on my feet anymore.

At that moment she realized and she was thinking: Oh damn...she is too young for me... but she is in love with me!

Well, the evening ended normally, she brought me home and that was it.

No it wasn't... she couldn't get out of her head that I was in love with her and I couldn't get her out of my head. I had fallen even more in love with her and now the memory was definitely there to stay.
